Job Title: Junior Logistics Coordinator

Location: Midrand

Type: Full-time

Role Overview:

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Junior Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow in the logistics industry, with strong organisational skills and a passion for problem-solving. You will assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring transport operations to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with daily planning, scheduling, and coordination of transport operations.

- Communicate with service providers to ensure efficient execution of loads.

- Track and monitor vehicles to ensure on-time deliveries and address any issues proactively.

- Maintain accurate records of trips, costs, and delivery schedules.

- Support with compiling reports and transport documentation.

- Assist in problem-solving when challenges arise (communicating delays, breakdowns, routing issues with customers).

- Send out load confirmations to subcontractors and ensure correct instructions are followed.

- Follow up with subcontractors on overdue PODs and resolve outstanding issues.

Requirements:

- Matric (Grade 12) required; logistics/transport qualification advantageous.

- 1 - 2 years' experience in a logistics/transport environment advantageous.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Computer literate (MS Office, transport management systems an advantage).

- Ability to work under pressure and think on your feet.

- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
