Job Description

Maximize the efficiency of the cost center in the purchasing department
Verify the accuracy and currency of information provided by the purchasing department
Foster collaboration between the purchasing and finance departments for effective process control
Ensure professional conduct in Counter sales and Parker Store sales, adhering to the Parker Store Agreement.
Solicit prices and delivery terms from suppliers for items specified by Project Engineers, Technicians, and other staff involved in preparing quotations
Review Purchase Requisitions submitted by authorized personnel, ensuring accurate details such as Job Number, Description, Quantity, and Date
Generate Purchase Orders based on Purchase Requisitions, confirming the accuracy of prices, discounts, and quantities
Seek the most favorable prices and delivery terms for materials and equipment, negotiating accordingly
Continuously monitor the Outstanding Purchase Order Report, ensuring timely delivery from suppliers as per agreed conditions. Submit the report to management every Friday by 3 pm
Establish and maintain a filing system for all outstanding Purchase Orders, reconciling it with the report
Promptly inform Project Managers, Technicians, or Supervisors if deviations from the originally agreed price or delivery conditions are identified in the supply of materials or equipment

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years exposure to the tendering and engineering activity
Computer literacy and competent in using MS Excel and MS Project
Good communication skills and assertive business acumen
Ability to work under pressure
Sound knowledge of General Conditions of Contract
Current knowledge of Sub-Saharan and Africa E&I markets and opportunities

Qualification:
Ndip in Electrical Engineering
