Job Summary Hire Resolve is partnering with a reputable insurance company to appoint a Junior Internal Auditor. This role is ideal for a driven, analytical graduate eager to grow their career in audit within a dynamic and structured environment. The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to internal audit processes, contribute to evaluating controls, and support client engagements across multiple business areas.
Responsibilities
Assist with internal audit planning, risk identification, and documentation
Contribute to the development of audit programs and testing procedures
Participate in planning and opening meetings with clients and audit teams
Gather information through interviews and process walkthroughs with control owners
Document business processes and prepare risk and control matrices
Execute audit tests and capture results in working papers
Draft audit findings including risks, root causes, and recommendations
Support the preparation of audit reports under guidance from senior team members
Attend audit meetings and record minutes of key discussions and decisions
Provide regular progress updates and flag issues proactively to the audit lead
Help ensure that all audit activities align with quality and regulatory standards
Carry out general administrative tasks related to audit assignments
Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and standards
Requirements
BTech or Bachelor's degree in Internal Audit, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred)
1-2 years of relevant experience in internal audit, accounting, or business (advantageous)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with internal audit, accounting, or financial software tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Ability to interpret legislation, policies, and technical procedures
Clear and professional communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
Capable of writing concise reports, audit findings, and supporting documents
Effective time management and ability to multitask under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and team-oriented mindset
