Position Overview

:

The Junior HR Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting wage-paid employees within the supply chain context at Levi Strauss, Epping. This role involves managing various HR functions including talent management, employee relations, talent development, wellness programmes, and health & safety compliance. The HR Officer will work closely with line managers to ensure effective implementation of HR policies and procedures while fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities -



Talent Management

:

- Facilitate the Performance Management process with line managers.

- Manage the Succession Planning process with line managers.

- Provide input on Retention Programmes across the facility.

- Facilitate timely completion of all mid-year and year-end performance review processes.

Employee Relations

:

- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.

- Manage Disciplinary Hearings and incapacity processes.

- Represent the company at CCMA/Bargaining Council for resolutions.

- Keep abreast of legislation and LRA developments.

- Develop, coach, advise, and train Line Managers & Union Representatives on ER policies and procedures.

- Manage Management and Union meetings.

Talent Development

:

- Ensure compliance with company & Global HR Policies and practices statutory reporting requirements.

- Prepare annual EE report, ATR, and WSP for the facility including coordinating sign-offs.

- Attend and contribute to EE & Skills Development Meetings.

- Develop and implement a facility training plan adhering to the training budget.

- Record attendance of training sessions and issue certificates to delegates.

- Manage learnerships, intern programmes, assessments for the facility in regulation with SETA requirements.

- Assist line managers in compiling training needs assessments and personal development plans.

Talent Wellness

:

- Maintain and coordinate employee benefit programmes and annual wellness activities.

- Manage employee wellness issues incorporating the incapacity process; coordinate EE clinic hospital trips.

- Coordinate Occupational Healthcare Unit initiatives.

- Manage the on-site Clinic and attend monthly clinic meetings.

Reporting & Administration

:

- Maintain accurate records related to all areas of responsibility.

- Generate reports as required by senior management.

Health & Safety

:

Support the EHS agenda ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations

Education:

Bachelors (Required)
Experience:

HR in Supply Chain/ Manufacturing/ Clothing environment: 2 years (Preferred)
