Job Description

Malindo Civil and Contruction is looking for a qualified and experienced Junior HR Generalist to join their Team. In this role you will be responsible for managing a variety of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll and compliance with labour laws.

Skills and Qualifications



Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent A minimum of 3 years' experience in the same role Time management Computer proficiency Attention to detail Communication Adaptability Problem-solving Multi-tasking Confidentiality Planning and organizing Relationship building and networking Change management Coaching and developing others Communication and influence Knowledge of Labour Legislation (Skills Development Act; Employment Equity) Human Resources procedures and processes

Key Accountabilities



Strategic Solution



Understand and identify department's needs and recommend appropriate Human Resources solutions to the situation. Identify and solve problems when responding to queries so that appropriate action can be taken to prevent further problems occurring during future interventions. Develop a thorough knowledge of Human Resources in order to effectively align Human Resources solutions to the department's needs (keep abreast of developments in the HR field). Play an active role in the development and implementation of initiatives that support the HR strategy and business performance. Consult with assistant business partners on HR related matters and demonstrate in-depth understanding of both business and Human Resources issues.

Service Delivery Improvement/Innovation



Partner with Line Management to:

Improve efficiency through the management of the HR Strategy in line with Business objectives. Assist with the implementation of the department's Strategic plan through focusing on key priorities. Ensure the implementation of strategic processes, procedures and systems to deliver the required service. Manage and implement guidelines, plans and practices for effectively managing employees in the business. Liaise and consult with relevant stakeholders on people management issues, providing expert advice.

Benefits



Plan, implement and administer day-to-day operations of employee benefit plans, including enrolment and claims processing. Manage costs associated with employee benefits. Ensure that benefit plans comply with relevant laws and regulations. Provide support to employees regarding their benefits, answering questions and resolving issues.

HR Operations



Information and Statistics. Training and Development. Human resources Administration. General Tasks/Activities. Recruitment and Selection. Administration and Communication. Filing and updating information.

Employee Relations



Advise Management of Discipline and Grievances. Provide and conduct training/skills development on LR issues. Ensuring adherence to labour relations policies and procedures. Manage industrial action and labour unrest. Attend to CCMA cases. Maintain sound employee relations. Manage and resolve conflicts. Providing Strategic Leadership and Direction with Respect to Labour Relations. Conduct Labour Relations Research and Impact Analysis of Processes and Policies in the Company.

Payroll



Data and Information Management. Payroll administration on SAGE 1 Cloud. HR System Maintenance. Finance Reporting.
