Pepkor is looking for a hands-on and proactive Junior HR Generalist to join our team, with a dedicated focus on supporting Pepkor Properties. In this role, you will form part of the broader Pepkor HR community while working closely with the Pepkor Properties team to support their people agenda. You'll play a key role in assisting the HR Manager and contributing to impactful initiatives that shape the employee experience within the Properties division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide day-to-day support to the HR Manager for Pepkor Properties
Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for allocated roles
Facilitate onboarding of new employees and coordinate offboarding processes
Support the implementation and tracking of the Employment Equity (EE) Plan
Assist with performance management and employee development processes
Participate in employee relations processes, including disciplinary hearings and investigations
Support compliance through accurate HR reporting, analytics and statutory submissions
Assist in drafting, reviewing and communicating HR policies, procedures and labour legislation requirements
Support the planning and delivery of OD initiatives with the OD team, including culture, change and employee experience projects.
Contribute to building and maintaining a positive, inclusive and high-performance workplace culture
Contribute to and support HR-related projects, audits and change initiatives
Provide general administrative support to the HR team
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
A relevant HRM diploma or degree and HR Generalist experience
Solid experience in recruitment and selection
Working knowledge of industrial relations practices and processes
Experience with EE plan development and submission
Proficiency in Google Workspace (G-Suite) and strong computer literacy
A strong collaborator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A solution-focused and detail-oriented individual
A digitally fluent, future-focused individual
