Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a drive to excel in the world of finance? My client is seeking a dynamic Junior Financial Accountant to join their esteemed team.
This is position is based in Pretoria East.

Duties:
Processing: Handle daily processing of financial information for group entities, including bank statements, supplier invoicing, and customer invoicing.
Reconciliations: Conduct weekly reconciliations for debtors and creditors to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Supplier Invoices: Obtain and process invoices, ensuring proper approval and timely preparation of payment requisitions.
Customer Invoices: Process service fee invoices based on requisitions from front office staff.
New Project Creation: Maintain the new project register/file and ensure accurate recording of project details.
Expense Recoveries: Reconcile client expense recoveries monthly and ensure timely invoicing.
Credit Card Reconciliations: Prepare credit card reconciliations and gather supporting documents for transactions.
Journals: Assist in the preparation and processing of journals as needed.
Audit Support: Prepare working papers for auditors and provide assistance during audit queries.
Budget Support: Aid in the preparation of annual budgets to support financial planning processes.
Cash Flows: Provide up-to-date information on debtors, creditors, and cash to facilitate weekly cash flow projections.
Management Reports: Assist in providing data for monthly GAP analyses and revenue/expenditure forecasts.
Fixed Asset Register: Maintain and update additions, disposals, and profit/loss calculations monthly.
VAT Reconciliations: Prepare monthly VAT reconciliations to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Inter-Company Transactions: Reconcile inter-company balances monthly to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Monthly Accounting Reports: Bring accounting books to the final trial balance stage each month.
Statutory Returns: Assist in completing various statutory returns, including income tax, VAT, and employment equity.
Administration: Ensure timely and accurate filing in accordance with company policies.
Reporting: Obtain and process information for BBBEE reporting purposes.
Self-Development: Continuously develop knowledge and skills relevant to the position and industry.
Systems and Procedures: Contribute to the implementation of departmental accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake additional tasks as requested by management.
General Accounting Functions: Fulfill all other duties typical of an accountant within the company.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

  • Completed BCom within a Finance related field
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar role
  • Completed SAIPA articles preferrable
