POSITION: JUNIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Our client is a multi-disciplinary company with head office in Durban, South Africa and branches around RSA as well as Mauritius, Kenya and the UK. Our services include engineering, project management, quantity surveying, environmental consulting, management consulting and town planning. The company is looking for a vibrant and dynamic young individual to join their electrical engineering team.

Electrical Engineer with a background in Building Services in the private and government sectors to join the team based out of Durban, overseeing various projects in South Africa.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical engineering activities for various building services projects in the private and government sectors to safely deliver on all company operational plans during the project execution phase.
• Building services and green building designs
• MV and LV infrastructure designs
• Carrying out technical evaluations
• Monitor project engineering development for estimates, control and review of costs related to design scope changes.
• Produce site inspections, functionality testing and commissioning reporting documentation.
• Prepare project close out reports with comparisons of design and procurement engineering man hour budgets in relation to project actual man hours.
• Assist the discipline or project engineering manager with accurate forecasting of discipline manpower.

Requirements:

• BEng/BSC/BTech qualification in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience in Building Services projects in the private and government sectors. Industrial project experience advantageous
• Greenfields and brownfields plant design and construction experience
• Green Buildings Certification (advantageous)
• Revit/Autocad modelling

Benefits and Contractual information:

Permanent position.

Salary: R25,000 xe2x80x93 R30,000/monthly (dependent on qualifications and experience)
