Junior Draughtsman/Designer (Interior Design Experience) - In-House Retail Design & Shopfitting
Location: Parkwood, Johannesburg, Gauteng
Start Date: 01 February 2026
Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and skilled Junior Draughtsman/Designer with a background in Interior Design to join our in-house retail design and shopfitting team in Parkwood, Johannesburg. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both design and technical teams to produce accurate, production-ready drawings for retail projects. Key Responsibilities:
Produce detailed technical drawings for retail shopfitting projects using
AutoCAD and Revit.
Assist in developing and executing creative interior design solutions in alignment with client requirements. Convert interior design concepts into functional, buildable plans for shopfitting projects. Conduct site surveys to gather precise measurements and assess design feasibility. Collaborate with both internal and external teams to ensure designs are fully production-ready. Provide creative and technical input throughout the design development phase.Requirements:
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and creating technical drawings. Strong experience in Interior Design with an emphasis on retail design and space planning. Knowledge of shopfitting processes and the ability to produce designs that can be easily translated into production. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting.
