As a Junior Draughtsman, the mission is to support the Head of Design in developing and implementing engineering solutions while gaining valuable experience and expertise in the field. Responsibilities
As the Junior Draughtsman your duties require you to perform the following activities. These activities are:
Design Assistance:
Provide support to the Head of Design in the design and development of engineering solutions, assisting with tasks such as drafting, modeling, and analysis.
Project Coordination:
Assist in project coordination activities, including scheduling, documentation, and communication, to ensure smooth workflow and timely project delivery.
Technical Learning:
Actively engage in learning and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge, seeking guidance from senior team members and leveraging resources to facilitate professional growth.
Collaborative Engagement:
Work closely with the Head of Design and other team members to contribute ideas, solutions, and feedback, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment within the Product Design Team.
Quality Assurance
Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and best practices, striving for accuracy, reliability, and efficiency in design work.
Working with the Head of Design:
Create a Technical Package for a new product that is a variation of a standard existing design architecture.
Create a Technical Package for a new product that is a new product design, by definition no existing similar product exists for such a request.
Contribute to the development of a new product architecture
Update the Technical Packages to incorporate any design changes
Communication:
Effectively communicate any quality problems and difficulties experienced within the design process with members of your team to find solutions.
Respond positively to queries and manage all your working relationships dynamically and proactively.
Professional Development:
Continuously enhance skills and expertise through ongoing learning and development initiatives, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive professional growth and contribute to organizational success.
Qualifications
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools is essential. Additionally, familiarity with engineering principles, drafting standards, and materials science is crucial.
