Job Description
To provide support, back-up and assistance to the product Design and Development department, by producing detailed engineering drawings and designs when required.
Required Qualifications
- Matric.
- Mechanical Engineering Diploma (All modules completed)
- Requiring P1 & P2 Training (Preferable)
- Minimum of 1-2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- SolidWorks/AutoCAD (Preferable).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with calculating dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in products/materials.
- In-depth knowledge of creating detailed drawings/designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Preparing rough sketches and reviewing them along with the engineer and/or engineering team.
- Identifying potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality.
- Carrying out the drafting requirements for new or existing products/projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Effective collaboration and communication skills
- Dynamic well-presented Individual
- A hard-working, tough-minded, quick thinker.
