Junior Digital Designer | Sportsmans Warehouse

We are looking for a dynamic and passionate

Junior Digital Designer

who is ready to immerse themselves in the Marketing retail world. You'll join our energetic and creative team at our Head Office in Cape Town, and will report to the Head of Creative & Marketing Manager(s)

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Support

Assist in the design of

digital creative assets

across multiple platforms, including:

o Website

o Email

o Social media & search

o In-store digital screens and promotional materials

Support the Head of Creative and wider creative team in bringing concepts to life from

initial briefing through to final execution

.

Integrate suppliers/ (brands') creative assets into the Sportsmans Warehouse creative assets. Maintain

brand consistency and high visual standards

while doing so.

Experience

Recently completed a

degree or diploma

in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication, or a related field

.

o Up to

1 year of experience

in a corporate, agency, or in-house creative environment (or equivalent practical experience) is advantageous.

Technical Skills

Working knowledge of:

Adobe Creative Suite

, specifically:

o Photoshop

o Illustrator

o InDesign

Figma

Basic understanding of

digital design best practices

, including layout, typography, colour, and composition.

Creative & Personal Attributes

Visually creative with a strong eye for detail and design.

Adaptable, eager to learn, and open to constructive feedback.

Able to think quickly and problem-solve in a

fast-moving retail environment

.

Detail-oriented while still understanding the

bigger picture and long-term brand and business goals

.

Passion for design, branding, and retail trends (interest in the sporting industry is an advantage).

Collaboration & Team Support

Work closely with:

Graphic Designer

Brand Designer

Video & Motion Designer

Collaborate cross-functionally with

Marketing, eCommerce, and Retail teams

.

Take creative direction positively and apply feedback efficiently and professionally.

Nice-to-Have (Not Essential)

Basic knowledge of motion, animation, or video formats.

Exposure to retail or eCommerce design environments.
