Job Description
Weenen Area - KwaZulu Natal: We are seeking an honest, energetic, hard-working farm manager with integrity. A person with strong leadership qualities and a genuine desire to keep learning, take on more responsibility and grow with the business. The right candidate must be a good stockman and be a conscientious team player.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Agricultural diploma/degree advantageous
- Previous dairy experience and AI ability advantageous
- Computer literacy essential
- Previous experience with dairy and herd management programs advantageous
- Ability to speak Zulu
- Must have a drivers license
- Previous pasture management, irrigation management, animal health management experience highly advantageous
- Management of morning and afternoon milking
- Management of calves, dry cow, heifer, mating groups
- Management of treating sick animals
- Pasture and irrigation management
- Involved with maintenance
- To motivate and work well with staff to achieve goals as a team
- To problem-solve efficiently and effectively
