Junior Commercial Lawyer

Job Description
Overview: Our client is a dedicated family office, responsible for advising on core long term strategic holdings and portfolio investments. They are looking to appoint a Junior Lawyer, responsible for supporting the legal team. This position will support the senior lawyers on large transactions and should be able to work autonomously on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. Responsibilities:
- Providing legal support on a wide range of commercial and corporate matters including the drafting and review of:
- Lease agreements (residential and commercial)
- Offer to purchase agreements in respect of property
- Loan and security agreements
- Letters of demand
- Shareholders agreements
- MOI
- Share purchase agreements
- Sale of business agreements, etc.
- Oversee and assist with the completion of KYC and FICA information requests
- Oversee and assist with certain filings with CIPC
- Assist with general compliance and regulatory work
- Assist with the drafting of resolutions
- Manage matters from start to completion
- Liaise with external law firms on a variety of matters
- BA Law / B Com Law / LLB
- 1 - 3 years' post article experience
- Commercially minded
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast paced, results driven environment
- Ability to manage the clientxe2x80x99s expectations, workload and time frames
- High level of integrity and professionalism
