Junior Buying Admin Assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about fashion retail, have a sharp eye for trends, and love variety in your day? We're looking for a Junior Retail Buying Admin Assistant to join our dynamic buying team. This is a true all-rounder role, perfect for someone who enjoys working across buying, admin, and e-commerce support while learning the full retail process from the inside out.

What You'll Do



Work closely with the Buyers and broader retail team, you'll support the day-to-day flow of products from supplier to store and online. Your responsibilities will include:

Buying & Supplier Support



Assist the Buyers in sourcing, selecting, and ordering products. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Request quotes, product details, images, and samples from suppliers. Track purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, and ensure stock arrives on time. Help monitor sales performance and identify best-selling and slow-moving items. Support pricing, promotions, markdowns, and seasonal product planning. Keep up-to-date with market trends, competitor pricing, and new product opportunities.

General Administrative Support (All-Rounder Tasks)



Capture and update product information and supplier details accurately. Maintain spreadsheets, buying trackers, and internal reports. Prepare documents for buying meetings and range reviews. Assist with stock allocations, transfers, and internal communication. Handle ad-hoc admin tasks that keep the buying function running smoothly. Support other departments when required--this role spans multiple touchpoints.

E-Commerce Assistance (When Needed)



Help upload/maintain product listings online (titles, descriptions, pricing, imagery). Coordinate product photography and digital assets with suppliers or internal teams. Assist with online promotions, product launches, and seasonal refreshes. Spot and report website stock gaps or product data issues.

What We're Looking For



A genuine passion for retail, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer goods. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. Confident communication skills and a willingness to learn negotiation basics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Comfortable juggling multiple tasks, this is a busy all-rounder position. A proactive, can-do attitude and strong sense of ownership. A recognized qualification in Fashion Retail Management, design, merchandising, retail procurement, and sourcing.

Requirements / Qualifications



Minimum of Grade 12 or similar (completed). Essential - Diploma or Degree Fashion Retail - Graduates Some experience in retail environment would be advantageous.
