Job Description
JUNIOR BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN
PMB - HOWICK
We are seeking a local building and construction site foreman to oversee the daily operations on various building and construction sites in the Pietermaritzburg area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with supervising construction activities on-site
- Coordinate staff, subcontractors, and deliveries
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and order on-site
- Monitor use of materials and tools
- Report daily progress to senior management
- Assist with quality checks and compliance with building plans
- Ensure adherence to safety and building regulations
- Experience in building/construction environment
- Strong understanding of site safety and construction processes
- Ability to read and interpret basic building plans
- Good communication and team leadership skills
- Valid driver's license
- Qualification in Construction Management or related field (advantageous)
