junior analystCompany:
Porcupine UnionPurpose of position:
Provide analytical support and insights that enable data-driven decision-making and effective cross-functional collaboration
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal business units to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement Build models or analyse data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities that support strategic decision-making Assist in developing and implementing business solutions that enhance efficiency and customer experience Support reporting and dashboard creation for various departments. Participate in cross-functional projects and contribute to team-based problem-solving. Maintain documentation and ensure data integrity across systems
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related field 1- 2 years of relevant work experience in the insurance or analytics industry Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and/or Python is a plus A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
