Junior Agricultural Economist

Job Description
To provide analytical and technical support in the field of agriculture, contributing to a wide variety of agricultural consulting projects. This is a full-time position that requires a strong foundation in agricultural economics, data analysis, and research.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural economics principles, theories, and methodologies, with a focus on Gross Margin analysis.
- Familiarity with the agricultural sector in South Africa; experience in Africa would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and data visualization tools.
- Exceptional research and analytical skills, including the ability to collect, interpret, and present complex economic data and findings.
- The ability to prepare reports and deliver presentations.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a dedication to promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
- A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel occasionally within South Africa and Africa.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills.
