Job Summary AACA is a leading film and acting school in South Africa. Our intense training programs are mentor-driven, hands-on, and industry relevant. The ideal candidate must have a passion for nurturing young talent to become the future giants in film and acting. Position details: Prepare and deliver lessons in the acting and filmmaking field. Prepare and conduct skills assessments. Process assessments and student POEs Act as a mentor on student film sets and during pre-and post-production. Take part in developing current content for existing and new curriculums. Challenges: Keeping track of individual students' skill levels, progress, and learning styles while personalising mentorship and teaching methods. Covering necessary topics in training under tightly scheduled learning cycles. Assessing and objectively grading a subjective art-form while providing meaningful and fair feedback. Managing classroom dynamics and various personalities. Managing students' preconceived expectations regarding acting and the film industry. Requirements: A relevant Masters Degree Experience in coordinating multiple productions advantageous Computer literacy on imac and understanding of the software. Microsoft Teams proficiency A combination of skills: E.g., Scriptwriting, Acting Teaching experience Experience with a Learner Management System.
