Job Summary
ACCOUNTANT (JUNIOR) / STELLENBOSCH / WESTERN CAPE - The accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing management accounts, and ensuring compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience (property or financial services sector is advantageous).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with VAT, loan schedules, and management accounts preparation.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Daily processing of bank accounts, loan transactions, bond and lease-to-own transactions, bad debts, etc.
- Preparing VAT201 and YTD recons
- Prepare management accounts
- Prepare and maintain loan schedules and circulating to lenders
- Loading payments for legal expenses and loan repayments
- Ensuring intercompany loans reconcile monthly
- Assisting with preparation of compliance documents for National Credit Regulation
