Job SummaryPosition: Junior AccountantLocation: Bryanston, Johannesburg
Employment Type: Full-Time | OnsiteHire Resolve's client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their dynamic, fast-paced finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a recently qualified SAIPA candidate or a SAICA professional with 1-2 years post-articles experience (more experience may be considered depending on salary expectations). The ideal candidate will be passionate about accounting, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a vibrant, socially active office culture with a strong interest in sport.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full bookkeeping function, including VAT, general ledger, and reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and monthly management accounts
• Administer payroll (experience with SimplePay is advantageous)
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax and accounting regulations
• Work with financial systems including:
• Microsoft Dynamics Nav (current system)
• Xero (upcoming implementation)
• Provide financial support within a marketing and hospitality-driven environment

Qualifications & Experience:

• SAIPA: Completed articles (recent graduates welcome)
• SAICA: Completed articles with 1-2 years of relevant post-articles experience
• Candidates should not be currently registered as CA(SA)
• Background in accounting, finance, or audit (excluding traditional banking or conservative corporate environments)
• Exposure to the marketing or hospitality industry is beneficial but not essential

Skills & Attributes:

• Proficient (or willing to learn) in Xero, SimplePay, and Microsoft Dynamics Nav
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team
• Fluency in Afrikaans is essential (primary office language)
• Personality fit is key: must enjoy a relaxed, energetic office with a passion for sports like rugby and cricket
