Completed or currently studying towards an Accounting Degree (part-time studies supported; role is full-time)
Strong bookkeeping and/or payroll experience with the ability to work independently
Working knowledge of Excel and general computer literacy
Experience with SARS eFiling, bookkeeping and payroll systems
CIPC knowledge is advantageous
Strong attention to detail
Organised, deadline-driven and reliable
Comfortable dealing with clients and statutory bodies
Key Responsibilities: Depending on your strengths, the role will focus on one of the following areas, with training provided in the other: Bookkeeping-focused role:
Full bookkeeping to trial balance
Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Debtors and creditors management
VAT preparation and submissions
General SARS queries and client registrations
Payroll-focused role:
End-to-end payroll processing (bulk payrolls)
Leave administration, payroll returns, and reconciliations
EMP201 / EMP501 submissions
Liaising with SARS on payroll-related queries
Additional exposure (advantageous):
SARS eFiling administration
CIPC registrations and amendments
General accounting and compliance support for business clients
