Job Summary
A popular restaurant based in Constantia is seeking an experienced Jr / Sous
Chef to join our team. The successful candidate must have at least 5 years
of experience as a sous chef, have a chef diploma or certificate, and must
be able to cope under pressure in a fast-paced, heated environment.
Applicants must be capable of working both day and night shifts from
9:00 to 21:00. Preference will be given to candidates who have relevant
valid documents, reside in the southern suburb, or have their own
transportation to commute to and from work during these hours.
Sous chef skills and responsibilities include:
Being able to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility in working long hours and weekends.
Being able to handle stress and work under pressure.
Have the ability to work with a multi-national team.
Planning and developing menus and recipes.
Management of the pass and plating.
Supervise the kitchen staff and guide them to deliver high-quality
food on schedule.
Providing training to the kitchen staff.
Stock control and inventory management.
