Job Summary SAFETY AND SECURITY xe2x80xa2 METRO POLICE METROPOLITAN POLICE TRAINING ACADEMY FACILITATOR BASIC SALARY: R422 662 PER ANNUM xe2x80xa2 REF.: SS 54/23 Requirements: xe2x80xa2 A Bachelor's degree in Traffic/Metro Police/Policing/Law degree or equivalent xe2x80xa2 Registered as an Assessor/Moderator with SASSETA for the Traffic Qualification unit standard 62289 xe2x80xa2 4 years relevant experience as a Facilitator/Lecturer xe2x80xa2 A valid driver's licence xe2x80xa2 Willing to be exposed to all weather and conditions associated with training, including but not limited to noise, smoke and long periods standing/walking xe2x80xa2 No criminal record or pending cases. Additional Preferred Requirements: xe2x80xa2 Basic Traffic Officer qualification xe2x80xa2 4 years relevant experience within a law enforcement environment xe2x80xa2 Field Training Officer background. Key Performance Areas: xe2x80xa2 Plan and execute basic and functional law enforcement training within the Safety and Security directorate xe2x80xa2 Design integrated assessment plans for learning programmes and facilitate learning by using a variety of standard approved methodologies xe2x80xa2 Prepare accredited lesson plans in terms of set criteria xe2x80xa2 Facilitate approved set Unit Standards to learners in respect of knowledge-based units and specific elective learning units xe2x80xa2 Assess learner competencies in relation to theoretical and practical exercises and all evidence xe2x80xa2 Prepare learners for assessment xe2x80xa2 Invigilate during formative and summative assessments xe2x80xa2 Assess learner Portfolio of Evidence files xe2x80xa2 Communicate professional knowledge in relation to training of learners and line management xe2x80xa2 Handle routine administrative tasks in relation to the training function.
