Job Description

Achu and Sons Computer Complex based in Johannesburg CBD, South Africa is seeking a skilled and customer-focused I.T Technician to join our computer retail team.

The ideal candidate will provide technical support, repair services, product configuration and expect advice on laptops and computers. This role combines hands-on technical work with excellent customer services

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Installing and configuring hardware, software, networks and operating systems Diagnosing and repairing technical issue with PC's, laptops and related peripherals Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades Ensure proper documentation of service logs and maintenance activities Maintaining inventory of hardware and tools Complying with all safe, IT security and operation protocols Test and quality check repaired devices before customer pick-up Demonstrate product features and recommend compatible accessories and upgarades

REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years experience Proven experience as an IT Technician Strong knowledge of computer, hardware, components and peripherals Knowledge of repair services Ability to diagnose and repair laptops and desktops Proficiency with windows OS, macOS and Linux is a plus Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong problem solving and multitasking abilities Ability to troubleshoot and assist online customers Willing to work overtime

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification such as CompTIA A+, Networking or equivilation Knowlegde of networking concepts and basic network troubleshooting

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift or move computer equipments Comfortable standing for extended periods during customer service and repair tasks
