Job Description
Crescent Star Pty Ltd is a privately-held investment company based in La Lucia, Durban.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Technician to provide technical support and maintenance for our internal computer systems, hardware, and networks. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with excellent IT skills, capable of resolving technical issues quickly to minimize disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
Provide timely technical support staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Troubleshoot and diagnose system and network problems, including connectivity, printers, and mobile devices.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings, email systems, and other platforms.
Perform routine system updates, patches, and preventative maintenance.
Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems by monitoring for breaches and enforcing security protocols.
Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and system configurations.
Assist in the setup and deployment of new IT equipment and infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
Required:
Proven experience as an IT Technician, Desktop Support, or relevant position (or demonstrable equivalent experience). Solid knowledge of computer systems, networks (LAN/WAN), and common operating systems (Windows, etc.). Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service focus. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Qualifications:
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Or IT Qualifications. Relevant IT certifications . Experience with server administration (Windows ) or cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
