It Support Technician
Job Description
Install, configure, and maintain hardware such as computers, servers, and networking devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with survey equipment (e.g., GNSS receivers, total stations).
Ensure all survey-related software (e.g., CAD, GIS) is installed and updated.
Manage internal networks and ensure reliable connectivity, including VPN for field teams.
Perform regular backups of critical survey data and ensure efficient data transfer.
Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Provide IT support for integrating survey equipment with software and systems.
Offer technical support and troubleshoot hardware or software issues for staff.
Optimize IT systems and recommend upgrades based on emerging technologies.
Train staff on survey-related software and create user documentation.
Ensure IT security compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Maintain IT inventory, including survey equipment, and manage procurement.
Job Types: Permanent, Temporary
Pay: R2000,00 - R15000,00 per month
