Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on and solutions-oriented IT Support & Asset Administrator to provide day-to-day technical support to our staff using tablets, phones, and laptops across field and office environments. This role will also be responsible for maintaining our asset register, coordinating device repairs, and assisting with broader IT systems improvement projects, including a network migration and office relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Support (Helpdesk and Technical Troubleshooting)
Asset Management & Administration
IT Systems Improvement & Infrastructure Projects
Ensure the following controls are implemented and maintained:
Firewalls and antivirus/anti-malware software installed and up-to-date.
Security patches and updates applied within 3 months of release.
Password controls: minimum 8 characters, complexity enforced, account lockouts after 10 failed attempts.
Default admin credentials changed or accounts disabled/renamed.
Remote access via secure channels only (e.g., VPN, RDP with MFA).
Physical access to servers and sensitive equipment is restricted.
Activity logs from sensitive systems stored for a minimum of 6 months.
Backup and recovery protocols in place: weekly backups, monitoring for completion, restore testing at least every 6 months.

Pay: R14000,00 - R16500,00 per month
