Job Summary Strategy & Innovation Ensure objectives and priorities are aligned with the businesss vision, objectives and priorities and proactively support the implementation of the IT strategy in terms of "grow" and "transform" activities working with regional and global colleagues. Support the organisational objectives to drive costs down whilst increasing staff productivity Ensure objectives and priorities are aligned with the businesss vision, objectives and priorities and proactively support the implementation of the IT strategy in terms of "grow" and "transform" activities working with regional and global colleagues. Contribute to the investigation and analysis of the feasibility of system requirements and assist in developing system specifications. Identify methods, solutions, in order to deliver a high level of service to all business units, this may include project work. Assist in the collection and analysis of operational data (especially incident and change records) to identify emerging trends and log problem records to assist with problem resolution and increased server availability. Daily Operations Monitor system and respond to alerts in accordance to set SOPs Monitoring the performance and capacity of computer systems Performing regular checks on network hardware and software Responding to network alerts and hardware malfunctions and escalate or inform relevant team members as per SoP. Diagnosing and troubleshooting network errors Tracking and documenting network issues and compiling incident reports Assist with monitoring services with cloud provider such as Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS. Assist with monitoring the systems that enable staff to work remotely. VPN etc Monitoring of all systems including the Virtual Servers associated systems and reviewing backup success and failure Schedule test restores Assist in the monitoring of routers, switches and firewalls and general service outages in the LAN and WAN space Installation and configuration of new Windows servers where monitoring tools are concerned. Perform routine audits of systems and software Respond to emergency network outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans Adhere to change control process, incident logs and records for traceability of events occurring on the network as per operational plan Ensures compliance with all IT policies and procedures i.e. Policy restrictions checklists Identify and prioritize problems based on their potential impact on business operations and customer experience Coordinate and manage the response to major IT incidents that have significant impact on the business Qualifications, Experience and Skills Technical Certificates: MCSA/MCSE / A+ and N+ Minimum 3-4 years experience in a similar role Displays flexibility and a proactive attitude in the carrying out of all job tasks Be familiar with server hardware systems including Dell Blades, VMWare, Unity Storage Excellent troubleshooting skills Ability to work shifts / shift work Good written and verbal communication skills General project management skills Strong collaboration skills Ability to work well under pressure
