Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled IT Officer to join our team in Bellville.Job Title: IT OfficerLocation: Bellville, South AfricaSalary: Market relatedClosing date: End April 2024Employment Type: Remote work & Hybrid TeamsDuties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and control the full IT infrastructure.
- Desktop support.
- Maintenance of all software applications and related infrastructure.
- Network maintenance and support for all offices including firewall, telephony and internet.
- IT Asset Management.
- IT Risk management and upkeep of IT policies and procedures.
- Implementation of IT training protocols.
- Information Systems security management.
- Drafting new and maintaining of software and hardware infrastructure in all regions and divisions.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and IT security principles.
- Hands-on experience with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), and server technologies.
- Proficiency in software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing IT issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) will be an advantage.
