Information Technology & Network Administration

Position office based in Pretoria East Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls Manage network servers and technology tools Setting up accounts and workstations Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords Fully supporting, configuring, maintaining and upgrading corporate customer networks and in-house servers Support and administer third-party applications Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses Upgrade the network infrastructure Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues Diagnosing and Troubleshoot issues and outages Keeping an eye out for updates on systems and hardware needed Upgrade systems with new releases and models Develop expertise to train staff in new technologies Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies Update technical documentation Installing and integrating new server hardware and applications Resolve problems reported by end user Specify system requirements and design solutions Research and make recommendations on server system administration Ensure that you adhere to company policies, procedures and turnaround times Ability to identify problems Excellent written and verbal communication Report writing Perform under pressure Have an operational phone Other tasks and duties as assigned from time to time
