Minimum Qualifications

1. BSc IT / Engineering Degree (Preferred)

Higher Qualification -

NQF Level 7

. Recognised

professional academic degree

. Strong theoretical foundation in computing, engineering principles, system design, and problem-solving. Ideal for advanced technical, development, or engineering roles.

2. IT Diploma (Considered / Alternative Qualification)

Mid-level qualification - typically

NQF Level 5 or 6

. Practical, hands-on knowledge in IT operations. Ideal for support, implementation, and technical maintenance roles.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Participate in system upgrades, testing, and quality assurance. Document processes, configurations, and system changes. Collaborate with the engineering/IT team to improve systems and workflows. Ensure compliance with organisational and industry standards. Analyse technical issues and recommend improvements. Support users with hardware, software, and network-related queries.

Required Technical Skills

Knowledge of hardware, software, and networking fundamentals. Basic to intermediate programming or scripting skills (depending on the role). Understanding of system architecture and database concepts. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Familiarity with security best practices and IT governance. Experience with troubleshooting tools, system monitoring, and IT support platforms.
