Our client, Royal Voluntary Service (RVS), is a leading UK charity managing one of the largest networks of volunteers across the country to deliver essential healthcare, homelessness, and food security services. RVS is embarking on an exciting digital transformation and hiring their firs in-house tech team in their 80-year history.
We are seeking a Mid to Senior IT Analyst to join RVS, They are currently undergoing a significant digital transformation programme and as part of this work, they are developing a cutting-edge greenfield platform to ignite a volunteering revolution.
The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and recommending information systems that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations. This role focuses on business systems analysis, application support, and user engagement and collaborates closely with other IT staff, vendors, and end-users to ensure seamless integration and functionality of technology solutions.

What you will be doing:

• Serve as a liaison between business units and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document system requirements.

• Define and document APIs and integration points between internal systems and external platforms.
• Create and maintain a developer-facing wiki or documentation portal for external developers to understand and engage with company APIs. Evaluate and recommend new software and systems to meet business requirements.
• Analyze current systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in software testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Document internal procedures, workflows, and technical issues.
• Maintain data quality, security protocols, and system compliance documentation.

Requirements

• Understanding of business processes and systems integration.
• Familiarity with IT governance and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of API documentation best practices and standards.
• Awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends.

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence, Notion, (Loop) or similar.
• Adept at utilizing with monday.com
• Ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language.
• Effective time management and organizational abilities.

Experience:

• 3 years minimum experience in business systems analysis or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with documenting APIs and integration specifications.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technology-driven environment.
• Involvement in creating user or developer documentation for technical platforms.
