As the IT Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of SAAT's business systems, aviation IT functions, and MIS operations. You'll be the go-to expert for coordinating IT infrastructure, AMOS administration, and ensuring seamless integration of information systems across the organization.
Principal Accountabilities
Key Responsibilities
Drive MIS System Excellence: Provide data-driven insights and analysis to enhance MIS-related systems. Coordinate system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and implement sustainable solutions across SAAT.
Aircraft Data Integration: Plan and manage preparatory data insertion for new aircraft, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
MIS Administration & Governance: Act as the MIS administrator, auditing and monitoring system performance, producing reports, and ensuring compliance with SAAT procedures and work instructions.
IT Coordination & Change Management: Liaise with internal departments and external service providers to coordinate IT change requirements, escalate user issues, and ensure timely resolution.
Business Process Improvement: Collaborate with system users and IT to refine MIS business processes and software requirements. Lead cross-functional meetings to align on system-related initiatives.
Asset & Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of IT peripherals and coordinate the refreshment of laptops, printers, and other assets to ensure optimal usage.
IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support for IT-related issues, including account problems, loan equipment, and system enhancements. Deliver 24/7 support services when required.
Budget & Cost Control: Assist in developing budgets and controlling expenditure for IT-related initiatives within the department.
Training & Capacity Building: Identify MIS training needs and support the development of training programs to upskill staff and improve system utilization.
Reporting & Analytics: Develop and distribute scheduled MIS and IT reports to enhance decision-making and operational transparency.
Strategic Planning: Plan and execute quarterly and monthly IT initiatives, including software upgrades, MIS version deployments, audits, and system change coordination.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, external IT service providers (e.g., SITA, EDS, XEROX), OEMs, and vendors to ensure alignment and service excellence.
Problem Solving & Decision-Making: Independently analyze business procedures, recommend system enhancements, and contribute to IT deployment strategies and user requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
A relevant qualification in IT (3 years)
OR
N6 or higher diploma in Information Technology with 5 years' experience in an IT environment
OR
Appointed Business Systems or Data Analyst with 4 years' experience in aircraft maintenance IT or MIS - Esential
