Investment Accounting Manager

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting and reporting for investment assets across multiple licensed entities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of Accountants, ensuring skill transfer and growth.
- Ensure accurate, timely capture and reporting of investment transactions.
- Review and prepare investment instructions, ensuring compliance with policies and mandates.
- Take accountability for the review and allocation of investment returns across portfolios.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations.
- Drive process improvements, risk management, and adherence to internal controls.
- Business Acumen: Understands financial drivers, risks, and commercial viability.
- Collaboration: Works across divisions to support group-wide success.
- Client Commitment: Builds strong, lasting relationships with a client-first approach.
- Impact & Influence: Inspires and influences stakeholders with credibility and purpose.
- Results Driven: Delivers with urgency, accountability, and agility.
- Change Leadership & Innovation: Champions continuous improvement and adapts with resilience.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Engages across cultures with humility and openness.
- Degree in Financial Management or Accounting.
- Completed articles/traineeship.
- Professional qualification (CA / CFA / ACCA / CIMA) is advantageous.
- 7-10 years' experience in accounting and/or investments.
- 3-5 years' management experience.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the insurance industry.
