Inventory & Service Clerk - Kempton Park - R16,000-R18,000 CTC

The Inventory & Services Clerk is responsible for inventory activities in the Johannesburg warehouse, as well as managing SCR administration and service documents for the Technical

team.

Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate
  • Diploma in Business Administration (Advantageous)
  • Good experience in a Business Administration function such as Finance / Sales / Supply Chain Management / Warehousing / Logistics administration or a similar field require
  • Afrikaans & English
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for cycle counts to be done with the team, so as to improve inventory system accuracy.
  • Administer all inventory movement and adjustment documents.
  • Assist to continuously improve, develop and maintain processes in place to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with the administration for the ordering of stock, as per instruction from Inventory & Warehouse Controller, project picking requests and inter branch transfer requests to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Liaising with international and domestic suppliers regarding the supply of inventory, where required
  • Drive resolution of any supply queries with procurement and supplier by conducting internal investigations of paperwork and stock movement.
  • Assist with the administration of the receipt process of inventory into the system by assisting with unloading trucks/containers. Check goods against invoice/packing list and purchase order.
  • Liaise with Despatch Clerk to determine what goods are required for orders to clients.
  • Administer all picking requests for sales orders, projects and other branches accurately.
  • Follow up on outstanding sales orders not part of back-order schedule to ensure that all orders are valid.
  • Manage SCRs administration and documents for technical team.
  • Schedule the picking of customer orders, project orders, assembly requests or inter branch transfers, timeously to be moved to despatch, as per the various picking request.
  • Responsible to invoices SCRs and reconcile all necessary paperwork for the relevant inventory movement processes, as well as communication thereof to the relevant departments.
  • Responsible for replenishment plan of inventory with the team, and personally to ensure optimized inventory storage and pick efficiency.
  • Responsible for bin maintenance (labeling, housekeeping).
  • Assist with signing on acceptance of deliveries/shipments when they arrive, when required.
  • Responsible for the accurate processing and filing of all relevant documents relating to inventory transactions.
  • General stores functions in support of the quarterly stock takes, including capturing and verifying count figures.
  • Attending to general administrative functions in the warehouse department.
  • Taking calls and emails from colleagues, with regards to the status of incoming stock supply for their sales orders.
  • Attending to any other related tasks on an ad hoc basis.

  • Computer literate in Widows, MS Office
