Department : PDS Distribution Centre

Reporting to : Inventory Controller

Purpose of the Role
The core purpose of the role of the Inventory Clerk is to accurately manage the stock holding of the Distribution Centre to ensure efficient fulfill client requirements.

INVENTORY CLERK FUNCTION
xc2xb7 Checking replenishment of stock into pick face bins.
xc2xb7 Maintaining and updating records.
xc2xb7 Counting materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock.
xc2xb7 Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
xc2xb7 Developing or improving upon inventory management procedures.
xc2xb7 Stocking and distributing supplies, equipment or merchandise.
xc2xb7 Reserving stock on WMS
xc2xb7 Completion of necessary paperwork related to inventory movements.
xc2xb7 Communicating with line manager on possible issues that could cause delays.
xc2xb7 Continuous updates on processes and progress on customer orders between departments.
OTHER
xc2xb7 Assisting in other departments based on operational needs.
xc2xb7 Housekeeping in and around the DC.
xc2xb7 Assist with stock taking and inventory management as required.
xc2xb7 Adhere to Health & Safety Guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
xc2xb7 Matric certificate
xc2xb7 1 year experience working in Inventory
xc2xb7 Previous experience working a Distribution Centre.
xc2xb7 Available to work shifts and over time as required.
xc2xb7 Must be a team player, an active learner and problem-solver.
xc2xb7 Working knowledge on MS suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
xc2xb7 Must have reliable transport.
xc2xb7 WMS and Syspro knowledge
