Who are we?
Sanlam Developing Markets [SDM] (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanlam Life Limited) is one of the top financial services providers in the South African entry-level and emerging middle market. It aims to understand the unique requirements of clients and offers a wide range of simple and affordable financial solutions that cover needs such as funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover and personal accident plans. In terms of the Sanlam Group Governance Policy, SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster, which is part of the Sanlam Life and Savings cluster within the Sanlam Group. The cluster focusses on retail products, as well as group schemes.

Sanlam Retail Mass is on a lookout for energetic, self-motivated, and dynamic young professionals to join the team in Houghton.


If you are a recent graduate between 18 and 35 years, passionate about Financial Services and Insurance industry and have completed a one-year certificate (NQF level 4 or 5) in one of the below fields, we want to hear from you!


We are looking for interns in the following fields of study:

  • Human Resources Management/ Development or Related Business Administration qualification.
  • Project Management Certification.
  • Information Technology Certification.
  • Law related Certification.
  • Participation in community activities where the individual plans and prepares community social events/ CSI events/ community upliftment will be advantageous.
  • Applicants must demonstrate willingness to learn and develop.

We welcome applications from candidates that completed their first year towards a diploma/degree but could not complete their studies for valid reasons.

Turnaround time
