Animal Health Internship - Clinvet International (Bloemfontein)

Clinvet International (Bloemfontein) hereby invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for a

HWSETA Funded Internship

in the

Animal Care Department

for the period

01 January - 31 December 2026 (12 months).

Core Description of Duties

Basic animal care Interact, socialise, and handle animals to ensure content, well-adjusted and cared for animals Clinical assistance to Veterinarians Conduct relevant observations and examinations of animals Therapy and care of animals ensuring good animal health and wellbeing The collection of specimens, including, but not limited to, blood, blood smears, skin scrapings, urine specimens and faecal samples necessary for laboratory analysis Basic laboratory procedures (including sample management, blood smear analysis, etc.) to assist with diagnosis Accurate and correct movement of animals Record and handle raw data to ensure accurate and consistent information

Minimum Qualification and Requirements

National Diploma in any of the following: + Veterinary Technology or
+ Animal Health or
+ Veterinary Nursing or
+ Laboratory Animal Technology

Skills and Competencies

Computer literate Proficiency in English Good interpersonal skills Good communication skills Administrative skills and attention to detail Driver's license




Stipend (salary) per month
