Job Summary (Internal Auditor - Maternity Cover, Contract)
- Position: Internal Auditor (Contract - Maternity Cover, 2 months)
- Location: Gauteng (Hybrid: In-office Mon-Wed, WFH Thurs-Fri)
- Department: Group Internal Audit
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits (planning, execution, reporting) for Traditional Trade and Money Markets in Treasury and Trade Solutions.
- Engage regularly with audit clients and provide updates on progress and findings.
- Communicate with audit manager and seek supervision when needed.
- Document audit working papers per GIA methodology and IIA standards.
- Capture and submit weekly timesheets.
- Learn and adhere to the audit system and procedures for planning/reporting.
- Draft audit reports, findings, engagement letters, and workshop slides.
- Apply data analytics techniques in audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and resolve audit challenges proactively.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid model: Office (Mon-Wed), Remote (Thurs-Fri)
- Working hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
- Office: 4 Merchant Place, Sandton
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years internal audit experience, preferably within financial services or Corporate/Investment Banking.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent; Degree/Honors in Internal Audit.
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification preferred.
Skills Required:
- Strong internal audit and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and audit software.
- Strong documentation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new audit environments.
- Experience applying GIA and IIA standards.
Contract Details:
- 2 month contract (maternity cover)
- Immediate start preferred
