About the team:
The IP Sales Team is a national team that understands that advisors have a fundamental role to play in making investors aware of their financial needs and assisting them to save in a disciplined way towards achieving their goals. That is why, as the leading financial advisor-focused investment platform in South Africa, our world revolves around partnering with advisors to create great investment outcomes for their clients. Our highly experienced team is nimble and dynamic, constantly exploring ways to add value and look after the interests of the independent financial advisor. The team has a strong client service ethic, offering a diverse set of skills that provides on-the-ground support to assist with the needs of an ever-changing industry. By leveraging off our greater business and through optimal use of data and technology, we aim to provide input into areas such as investment insights, practice management as well as legal and tax matters. Through collaboration in generating efficiencies, we can support our advisor practices to deliver the best financial planning outcomes for their clients.
In this role you will:
+ Manage relationships focused mainly on the Independent Financial Advisers (IFA's)
+ Display good working knowledge of:
- Ninety One IP Products (Investment Portfolio; Life Portfolio; Retirement Annuities; Preservation Funds; Living Annuities, Global Investment Portfolio and Life Portfolio)
- Ninety One procedures; systems and processes regarding the placement of investments
- Competitor offerings which include both product and pricing
- Ninety One Funds (both locally and international) as well as competitor funds
- Confident to present on the market and current investment environment both locally and international
+ Be required to service the existing IFA clients and open new contracts for new IFA's
+ Establish new IP relationships
+ Record meetings and meeting notes on Sales Force
+ Attend sales meetings and SAUT monthly meetings
+ Write quarterly assessments
+ This position is based in Pretoria, however, travelling to outlying areas will be required from time to time
You should consider applying if you have:
+ B Com or equivalent qualification
+ CFP/CFA or Registered Persons Exam
+ 5 year's platform or investment sales experience
+ Industry knowledge essential
+ Ability to tap into existing networks and relationships
+ Good knowledge of Unit Trusts and Platform Products as well as commercial business knowledge
+ An understanding of the administrative and legal aspects of investment products
+ Comprehensive understanding of the Adviser business environment
+ Fluency in English and Afrikaans
