As the Internal Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal audit function. Please reach out to for more information.

Duties:

  • Ensure that the Internal Audit function and activities are executed
  • Assisting in the establishment and implementation of the overall Internal Audit strategy.
  • Evaluates and improves overall audit operations by leveraging technology and other tools.
  • Develop internal standards and frameworks for audit work.
  • Providing input into annual planning process to develop a risk-based audit plan
  • Delivery of the annual internal audit annual plan as approved
  • Audit engagement management, co-ordination and optimisation of budgeted resources.
  • Team leadership, which includes staff management, performance reviews, training, development and career planning.
  • Stakeholder management (internal and external)
  • Regular reporting to the various Audit and Finance and Risk
Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:
  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • BCom Accounting / CTA
  • Qualified CA (SA)
  • CIA
Experience:
  • External audit articles (an advantage)
  • 6 to 8 yearxe2x80x99s internal audit experience in financial services (preferably Insurance)
  • Experience in managing / leading audit activities in an insurance or financial services environment
  • Strong leadership capabilities that ensure optimising the performance of a team and building credibility across the organisation
  • Understanding and knowledge of Insurance business processes
  • Must be able to travel locally (maximum 40%), willing to travel internationally if required
