Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and knowledge-hungry Intern to join our IT Infrastructure team, with duties focussing on Software Development and Support and Database Administration. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing, developing and maintaining software applications, providing technical support and managing databases in a professional environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a willingness and hunger to learn, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development:

Assisting in the design, coding, testing and debugging of software applications Collaborate with the developers and engineers in our department to implement new features and enhance existing technologies and infrastructure. Research and recommend tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve developmental processes.

Technical Support

Provide first-level support for software applications and systems Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by end users. Document support requests, resolutions and recurring issues to improve system performance and user experience Assist in the creation of user guides, FAQ's and other technical documentation.

Database Administration:

Assist in the installation, configuration and maintenance of databases and users Monitor database performance and troubleshoot performance-related issues Support data backup, recovery, and security procedures Generate operational performance reports as required

General:

Adhere to company policies, procedures and standards. Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions. Be willing to work in a high performance environment

Requirements:

Education and Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/ diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of programming languages such as Java, Javascript, Python Exposure to version control systems like Git is a plus Familiarity with Cloud and Server based platforms is advantageous but not required
