Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Intermediate Business Analyst to join our team in the Financial Services sector. The successful person will act as a liaison between Business and IT, ensuring that technology solutions align with business goals and deliver measurable value. This role requires strong collaboration with business stakeholders to understand their needs, define requirements, and support the delivery of effective solutions.
Skills and Experience
What you'll do:

• Business Engagement:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather business requirements and define business processes.
• Document and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Assist in the development of business cases and feasibility studies.
• Support change management initiatives and help business users adapt to new systems and processes.
• IT Collaboration:

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for IT teams.
• Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
• Participate in solution design and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and standards.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate feedback from business users.
• Monitor project progress and communicate updates to both business and IT stakeholders.

Your Expertise:

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT projects, ideally within Financial Services.
• Proven experience working with both business and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies (BABOK, Agile, Waterfall).
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and BPMN.
• Knowledge of financial products, services, and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:

• Matric
• Relevant IT/ BA Qualification
• Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar) is advantageous
