Job Summary:
The Interior Decorator is responsible for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of interior spaces through the creative selection of decor elements. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their preferences and needs, then translating those into cohesive, stylish, and functional interior environments.
Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12.
• Diploma or degree in Interior Decorating, Interior Design, or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in interior decorating or a similar creative role.
• Strong creative and visual design skills.
• Excellent communication and client-relations skills.
• Proficient in design software (e.g., SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Own vehicle and valid driver's license.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Consult with clients to determine their style, preferences, needs, and budget.
• Develop creative concepts, mood boards, and decor proposals.
• Select furniture, color palettes, lighting, flooring, accessories, and artwork.
• Source materials, fabrics, and decor elements from suppliers.
• Coordinate the installation of design elements, furniture, and decor items.
• Ensure that the decor aligns with the architectural features of the space.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, materials, and suppliers.
• Work with contractors, suppliers, and other design professionals.
• Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets.
• Oversee the project from concept to completion, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Make on-site visits to supervise the progress and resolve issues.
• Ensure all spaces reflect the client's vision while staying practical and functional.
