Interim E Commerce Marketing Lead (maternity Cover)

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to serve as an Interim Marketing Team Lead for a six-month maternity cover (October 2025 - March 2026). This role is ideal for someone capable of managing day-to-day team operations while providing strategic input to achieve marketing objectives.
Requirements
5+ years of digital marketing experience, preferably in e-commerce or premium consumer brands.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in marketing, advertising, or related fields.
Strong understanding of performance marketing, content strategy, and digital design.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams and projects simultaneously.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret marketing data and derive actionable insights.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to balance execution with strategic thinking.
Experience using Google Looker Studio, Tableau, and HubSpot would be advantageous.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the marketing team, including PPC, content development, design, copywriting, and photography.
Ensure campaigns and deliverables are executed on time and to a high standard.
Support and guide the team in meeting acquisition, retention, and ROI targets.
Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with the broader e-commerce and gifting strategy.
Contribute strategic recommendations on campaign content and targeting.
* Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
