Who We Are Looking For
Under the general direction of the Embedded Intelligence Services (EIS) department, the Intelligence Analyst II will support the analytical needs of a major client engagement by providing open-source intelligence analysis to identify potential risks to the company's brand, reputation, and operations. The Analyst will work directly with his/her Manager and the EIS team to produce analysis addressing client-specific requirements. The Analyst will be located at Crisis24's Cape Town, South Africa, office. The Analyst will be available to travel to client locations as needed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required on a case-by-case basis.
What You Will Work On
Leads in the support and execution of the analytical needs of the client's risk management team. Produces intelligence analysis addressing client-specific requirements, including proactive threat and reputation monitoring. In coordination with Crisis24 EIS Managers, and in accordance with appropriate guidance gathers, assesses, and disseminates analysis on the nature of global security threats, the likelihood that they will affect the client's brand, reputation, assets, and operations, and what the likely affects are; actively monitors open-source media, third-party subscription services, and other sources in real time for issues that could affect business operations and personnel; provides strategic intelligence assessments and actionable insights on emerging external risks; open-source intelligence collection and analysis of regional trends and events to provide timely, comprehensive, customized intelligence products to decision makers; develops client-specific intelligence products including, but not limited to: Due Diligence Reports, Event Threat Assessments, Requests for Intelligence, Daily Incident Assessments or Intelligence Products, Social Media Monitoring, Online Exposure Assessments; Liaises with the client to better understand their requirements and concerns, and understand the client's operational footprint; manages client expectations by understanding the EIS team's product offerings and limitations; and supports manager in tracking metrics around production.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred
2 to 4 years' experience in intelligence analysis, threat assessment, incident response, or a related field required
Excellent research, writing, and verbal briefing skills
Excellent analytic skills, including familiarity with analytic techniques. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Google Earth and Maps
Effective problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
Ability to organize and prioritize work with little supervision
Ability to adhere to timelines and deadlines with effective time management skills
Establishing and maintaining positive professional rapport with other analysts and subject matter experts, as well as client contacts
Foreign language and travel experience preferred
Customer service experience preferred
