Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Trade Certificate: Controls & Instrumentation, N3 / NCV 4 C&I
3 years post trade test experience, within water treatment operations
Valid drivers, own vehicle (willing to travel) and work standby/over weekends/after hours
Experience on Siemens PLCs & Adroit SCADA software fault finding / programming beneficial
Skills in PLC, SCADA, DCS and knowledge of appropriate instrumentation principles / practices
Adequate knowledge of system structures and how to troubleshoot systems
Basic understanding of OHS Act and implementation thereof

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Fault finding on PLC controls, SCADA software and instrumentation equipment
Small scale software changes and programming of PLC / SCADA
Calibrate instruments and assemble / disassemble / test instrument parts
Audit / maintain spare parts inventory
Advice on equipment maintenance
Planning / organising of planned outages and minimise engineering related breakdowns
Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained
Ensure safety / housekeeping meet required standards
