Purpose of the Job

To support plant/ equipment maintenance activities through the provision of documentation conforming to maintenance standards, thereby ensuring safe work execution and integrity compliance

What you've done

Baseline:
  • NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Electrical Engineering)
  • Instrument Trade Test
  • 3 years' experience in Instrument Maintenance in Industrial environments (Petrochemical, Pulp and Paper,)
Advantageous.
  • knowledge of programming packaging equipment PLC'S
  • Operation of Packaging equipment
  • knowledge of the electrical devices utilized in packaging equipment.
  • Knowledge of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance system.
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.

What you'll be doing
  • Reliability improvement on Line Instrumentation
  • Provide input into business planning and development of expenditure forecasts for Maintenance Instrument (CAPEX and OPEX)
  • Identify and Execute maintenance work to minimize breakdown.
  • Trouble Shooting of Control systems
  • Provide input into development of renewable energy business to generate sustainable revenue.
  • Ensure execution and completion of planned work within allocated time to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure own skills development to align with customer needs.
  • Ensure execution of planned maintenance to quality standards (no rework) as per customer needs
  • Conduct equipment criticality analysis (ECA) for Instrumentation and control system systems.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for breakdowns and incidents on instrumentation
  • Assist with scope of work, design & development of Solar PV plants.
  • Lead the maintenance of Valve repair.
  • Ensure the relevant standards (PTS and SANS) are met
