Installation Engineer Automotive ~ Engineering ~ Manufacturing
Durban - Kwa Zulu Natal - South Africa

Are you looking to expand your skill set? I have fixed term contract in a large multi-national organisation.

REQIERED QUALIFICATIONS:

• NQF 6 Technical Qualification (minimum 360 credits), NDip / BTech Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:

• Welding experience would be advantageous
• Project management experience essential
• Good knowledge of welding processes, jigs and C/Fs will be advantageous
• Good technical knowledge of plant production systems would be advantageous
• High level of computer literacy is needed for this position. (Excel, Word, Auto Cad, SAP)
• Knowledge of PLC programming, Automation and Robotics is advantageous
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 & 14001 requirements essential
• Automotive Manufacturing

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• FET Cost Planning must be able to accurately establish cost estimate for input into product brief reply for budget approval and establish detail schedules in order to meet project milestones
• FET Procurement Establish basic equipment specification and compile close tender bid package with clear and concise scope of work for both Local & Overseas procured facilities
• Cost planning, Budget tracking & Control
• Short- and long-term strategic planning and schedule management
• FET Installation preparation Equipment buy-off at Vendor and installation preparation including rough plant layout
• FET Installation /Commissioning Close collaboration with plant / vendors & TMC/TDEM to ensure safety compliance as well as quality and other production related targets are achieved on time and within budget
• Handover Compile data from production trials & co-ordinate handover Meeting with all related divisions then finally to Plant

Safety Ensure FET compliance to Company SHE standards
